this is a small, deliberately weird backyard-style gathering. expect: cats, lawn chairs, a questionable amount of snacks, and at least one moment where you question your life choices.

hi, co-conspirator here. if you are worried about being “too slow” for the 3 hr or 6 hr: don’t. walk, jog, run, repeat, hang out in a camp chair, eat snacks – all valid strategies.

the only format where you really need to hit times is last cat standing, and we’ll post pacing charts + sample lap plans closer to race day.

questions i will personally be addressing:

• “is this too many snacks?” (no)
• “should i go out a little too fast?” (yes)
• “why is there a cat in my chair?” (finders keepers)

questions i will be ignoring: anything about sensible pacing.

legit question: how “technical” is the loop? i’m fine with hills but i’m not trying to roll an ankle in front of three judgmental cats.

good question. current version of the loop:

• dirt + grass, some uneven spots but no mandatory ankle traps
• a short, punchy hill each lap so you can make bad choices repeatedly
• no major exposure / cliff edges, just nice gorge views in spots
